Senior Care Connections was founded in 2003 by Sarah
Parran, MSSA, LISW-S, CMC, a master's degree social worker with over
30 years experience in geriatric and health care social work.
Sarah is both a licensed independent social worker by the
state of Ohio and a certified care manager by the National
Academy of Certified Care Managers. She is a member of the adjunct faculty of the Case Western
Reserve University Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences
and serves on numerous boards of directors. Prior to founding
Senior Care Connections, she served as the Director of Social
Work at University Hospitals of Cleveland for 12 years.
She has developed a national
reputation for her:
- Expertise regarding healthy
aging, Alzheimer's disease and dementia care, health care
systems, community resources, care planning and coordination
- Extensive experience dealing
with health care, legal and financial providers
- Commitment to promoting
successful aging strategies and supporting maximum independence
for older and disabled adults
Sarah is a member of:
- The National Association of Professional
Geriatric Care Managers
- The National Association of Social Workers
- The Society for Social Work Leadership in
Health Care
